| I can't imagine a better way to end a day in Florida than a peaceful walk on the beach. If you walked along the Bay peninsula downtown St Pete, this is what you would see. Featuring an award winning restaurant, a rooftop bar and many specialty shops, the historic St Petersburg pier stretches almost a quarter mile out into Tampa Bay. More than a hot tourist spot, this architectural marvel is where I caught my first tropical fish, a half pound Spadefish that nearly snapped my eight dollar WalMart fishing pole. I initially had no intention of keeping the little guy but after the fight he gave me I actually contemplated "going survivor" on him. No worries, I still threw the little guy back in. |
