Hidden among Central Florida wilderness I stumbled upon Heritage Village, a turn of the century oasis in Largo. Dazzled by the authenticity and charm of the century old buildings, I tried to imagine what life was like before television back when hobbies included playing checkers on the porch, fishing or crafts. Though I had a hard time picturing life without electronic devices, the old wooden classroom next to the log cabin took me right back to second grade. All that was missing was my religion teacher sister Valerie and her painful wooden ruler across my behind.
